Up until a few years ago we didn’t have a customer data base.  I didn’t see the need, after all our Customers knew who we were, where we were and what we sold – why would I want to talk to them about my business??

WRONG!!!

Our business coach “sternly” suggested we start a data base and market to our market, so we did, (reluctantly), BUT what a difference it made!!!

Customers join a data base or as we called it “Loyalty Program” because they want to know more about you, they want you to tell them about new products and promotions.

I was recently reading an article on the benefits of having a customer data base and though it would be a good one to share. “Five Benefits Of A Customer Data base”

There are SO MANY things you can do through your data base to entice your customers back into your store more frequently.  Remember the old 80/20 rule.  80% of your sales come from 20% of your customers.  We can all appreciate that the cost of capturing a “new” customer is considerable so why not start with your existing customers and get them spending more.

There are of course some “tricks” to achieving this. Buy tricks I mean tips as to how to increase your sales and not impact your profit.  These must know tips are all covered in our Marketing Made Easy sessions (listed below). We’ll show you how to increase your customer spend and most importantly TEST & MEASURE the results you’re getting. For possibly the first time ever in your business you’ll be able to see the ROI on your promotions, build a list of successful ones and create happy customers wanting to give you more. There is no point running promotions and offers if they are losing you money!
